Spinach is a cool season crop that will perform best when planted in early spring and again in late summer for a fall crop. Sow seeds in shallow 1 in. deep furrows of 6-8 in. wide and cover lightly with 1/2 inch of soil. After emergence, thin seedlings to 4 inches apart.
