Corn Seeds

Plant seed in at least 4 rows, side-by-side to ensure good pollination. Plant rows 2 1/2 to 3 ft. apart, spacing about 5 in. apart. Thin early varieties to 10 inches apart. Thin later varieties to 18 inches apart. Get a quicker start in cold soils by boosting the moisture content just before sowing for se/se+, su, or synergistics. Some growers find soaking the seeds in distilled water at 77° F for 16 hours, then drying at room temperature for 8 hours before planting may be beneficial, but plant immediately after this process. No pre-soaking treated seeds.
