Rhubarb Plants

Plant tubers shallow, with the top of the tuber only 1 to 2 inches below the natural grade in loose, well drained organically rich soil. Keep soil moist to establish but don't over water, tubers are sensitive to rotting, especially before leaves emerge. Please note, it is common for organic material on tubers to cause surface mold during transit. Simply wash or wipe off with warm soapy water, air dry, then plant tubers as soon as possible. Set dormant tubers out in early spring, prior to last average frost date, 3 to 4 ft. apart in full sun. Rhubarb plants prefer cooler climates. We ship #1 size bare root divisions.
