Zones 4-7. Firm, creamy white flesh becomes meltingly tender, sweet and aromatic at maturity. Originally known as "Sweetmeat of the Woods", this wonderful pear was introduced to this country in the early 1800's. Fruits are large with a rounded shape and have creamy-yellow skin blushed with red. Trees are hardy and highly productive. Fruits ripen mid-September to early October.
While partially self-fruitful, fruit production will increase with cross-pollination from another pear. We recommend planting with Seckel.
