These almonds are sweet, soft-shelled variety. It is a very late bloomer, yet ripens early. Blooming late, about the same time as peaches, helps avoid damage from late hard frosts. Bears profuse, pinkish-white fragrant flowers in spring. Harvest in September and use for fresh eating, roasting and baking. Mature trees are 15 to 20 feet tall. While somewhat self-fertile, we recommend planting two varieties for best nut production. Trees begin bearing about 3 years after planting. Zones: 5-8
