We highly recommend this variety. A vigorous, heavy yielding leek with blue-green flags and very thick, white stalks that can grow up to 12 to 14 in. Mild, delicious. Good virus resistance. Unlike onions, leeks do not bulb. Sow seeds indoors about 8 weeks before outdoor planting time. Keep well fertilized, as large transplants make the best leeks or sow directly outdoors in early spring. One packet sows 30 ft. of row. 90-110 days.
