Easy to grow and will bloom the first summer, with many deep lilac flower spikes on tall branching stems. Entire plants are uniformly permeated with a sweet anise scent--leaves make wonderful tea, and flowers are used in baking and Oriental dishes. Produces abundant and delicious anise-flavored nectar.
