An extremely rare, old heirloom variety dating back to 1845. Features blood-red kernels, streaked with darker red. A dent type, with tall, 8 to 12 ft. stalks producing 2 or 3 large ears---fine-flavored and excellent for cornmeal or corn-on-the-cob in milk stage. Expect an occasional white ear.
