Also known as 'Chick Pea'. A large tan bean with nut-like flavor which keeps its shape well when cooked. The erect, bush-type plants have an appearance unlike any other bean plant. Use as a shell bean or allow to dry (100 days) and store. Well suited for drought areas but not for extreme Northern climates. Nutty flavor adds a nice touch to salads.
