Sow seed about 1/2 inch deep, as you would sow carrot or parsnips. Does best in loose, sandy soil. Salsify may be dug in the fall and stored or allowed to remain in the ground during winter. One packet will plant about 25 ft. of row. One ounce about 100 ft. of row.
