Also called New England Pie. Excellent general-purpose variety. Best for pies and very good for canning and carving. Sweet, fine-textured flesh makes the very best pies. Grows 8 inches across with thick, meaty flesh and a small seed cavity. Bright orange skin. Weighs about 7 lbs.
