"Real tomato taste" in a turn-of-the-century Amish heirloom. The best for sauces and canning. Bright red fruits are large for canning types, about 8 oz., and not too acidic. Excellent for slicing fresh too!

I had 64 tomato plants this year. 40 were Rutgers and 24 were a mix of Amish paste and roma. I planted in a compost and horse manure mix and I ended with 225 gallons of tomatoes (45 5 gallon buckets). I sprayed for bugs once, and applied magnesium once and calcium twice. Beyond that, I didn't address any additional fertilizer needs. Remarkable plants with thick full vines the thickness of a 50 cent piece.
