Developed at the University of New Hampshire in the late 1950's/early 1960's. A pickling variety with fruits that mature at the same time. Thick-walled, 1/2 ounce pear shaped fruits are very flavorful, with an almost smoky taste that grow 1-1/2 to 2 inches long and have excellent crack resistance. Perfect for making pickles or fresh eating. Plants are semi-potato leaved and very vigorous.
